The HOLE Truth
Hey guys, well
the madness of the double bank holiday is over, I hope you all had a fabulous
time whatever you got up to!
Now this weeks HOLE truth.
As your all aware most of Gay Leeds is packing up
to go to Gran Canaria pride next week (I’ll come back to that in a while), well
me leaving things till the last minute (As i do) i had to go shopping for boy
clothes so seeing a fab t-shirt that would go fab with some denim cut offs, I
was literality stopped in my tracks as a shopper in the middle of the store
started making Homophobic comments about how they only make clothes for ******
gay's & puffters ranting on to his wife and it shocked me i suppose been a
drag queen you get used to hearing drama & insults but blatant homophobic
comments are just wrong I wish I had confronted him in retrospect but I was in
shock! So the moral of the story is Homophobia is alive and well and living in
Leeds.
Now onto a brighter note It's Gran Canaria pride
next week and after what i experienced there is never a better excuse to be
proud of whom you are proud of your scene, From what i know of so if i miss
anyone out apologies Gay Leeds is taking over Maspalomos Pride, My sister's
Bears Aloud are performing at Rickys Bar where you can also find the Viaducts
Peggy Wessex, Dj Johnny Springthorpe & Danny Cher Bailey are Dj'ing on the
main stage, I am Hostessing at J's bar so it will be like a home away from home
for us all and for you guys that are coming along.
