The HOLE Truth
Firstly I would love to say a huge thank you to the Gay Leeds team for inviting me to work with them & secondly a massive thank you to you guys for taking time to read this.
Now when i was offered this blog it took me a week to think of a name & a direction for it so i decided to call it "The Hole Truth" Get it?
Direction wise well we will see but the first thing i want to write about is the anti L word. Now obviously I’m not a lesbian but more increasingly I’m hearing anti lesbian comments "Butch" "Bull Dyke" Man With A Fanny" Mostly from young gays & old queens.
Most of them think that a lesbian will kick ten balls of s**t outta of them if you look at one the wrong way, WRONG!
What is a lesbian? A woman with cropped hair and dressed like a man? WRONG.
You will find that a "Lesbian" is first and foremost a woman just like any other they are mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends. I have lots of lesbian friends in fact my oldest friend is a lesbian we met in the Penny years ago when i accosted her for her belt (see I've always loved accessories!)
My seamstress & good friend who makes my show costumes is a lesbian. Do you see a pattern forming, I don't expect you all to go out & hug a lesbian but please think next time you as a younger or older gay man make that jibe or bitchy comment just think about how you felt having to put up with those vile comments from bigoted straight folk so you know how it feels to be called and looked at for being different.
That’s the HOLE truth well in my opinion it is.
