After a minor hiatus from writing on my column, due to life being a hectic old thing, I’ve jumped back on the Gay Leeds wagon and am now writing again! WOO! Great! But for once in my life, I actually don’t know what to talk about, so I’m just gonna mumble about some “little things” that have annoyed me and what not…

Keys. Would you believe how losing a bunch can turn your life inside out? Trust me, it’s not fun. Look after your keys! Hahah!  Especially while you’re out drinking with your mates and on your way home. Always make sure you know where everything you have on you is.

Rumours. I don’t particularly understand them. It’s like a sly way of being really bitchy. The best way to tell someone that you don’t like them that much is just to tell them. I know it’s a bit upfront and standoff-ish, but it’s the easiest way. And some rumours aren’t even nasty. I’ve heard about someone who’d had a bit of a fall, and due to rumours he’d “had his leg amputated and lost 23 pints of blood” or some crap like that.  Just be careful with the old Chinese whispers.

Friends. These annoy me. Especially when they’re not mine…. If that makes any sense. Some people really don’t grasp the concept of friendship. If you’re someone’s friend then do the good and right thing, and treat your friend the way you’d expected to be treated. This works both ways. A friendship is a bit of give and take, and it takes two to tango!

Dads. Not mine. But just some that lose all self-respect, dignity and responsibility. I don’t like men that can’t admit to themselves that they’re failing at life in general. There are some ridiculously stupid men out there in the world. Just be careful with the ones that you think that you can trust and rely on.

Although I’ve had a wee little whinge about some bad things, there’s always a silver lining to that big old rain cloud.

I’m quite lucky, and have a beautiful partner, some amazing friends and some really close and amazing family that make my world complete, so I have to have a little thank you for them.
