CHERYL HOLE
Born in Leeds, Cheryl Hole never ever thought about becoming a Drag Queen that was until Cheryl was persuaded to enter Drag Idol in 2008 by her nephew Danny Cher Bailey. She performed "I can hear the bells" from Hairspray and came a respectable 4th place (Not bad for a first timer)
Cheryl hung up her heels for a few months and then in March 2009 out of the blue she was offered a job offer as a DJ & Hostess at Blayds Bar. Given her love of music and because of her previous DJ job BC (Before Cheryl) she jumped at the chance. Then one night, around the same time as she started Dj'ing, she met Nadine Coil, Sarah Hardon, Ginger Roberts and Kimbearley Clark and Bears Aloud was born. Together they hit the drag circuit playing venues in London, Belfast and attended more prides than you could shake a feather at.
In January 2010 Cheryl decided to try her hand at a solo show for a friends birthday party. (Art imitated life you could say) This was a success to point she was offered her own show at Blayds Bar where she performs a mixture of contemporary and old school numbers. In June 2010 Cheryl decided to leave Bears Aloud to peruse her solo career, on this Cheryl said, “It wasn't an easy decision but I know down the line it will be worth it.”
What does the future hold for Cheryl? "Who knows I'm really excited about being on Leeds Pride Main stage as a solo artist in my own right, I'm busy Djing every Saturday playing dance, pop, chart & cheese in Blayds and i am also rehearsing for my new show at the moment. I have lots of exciting projects coming up that i cant say anything about at the moment so watch this space"
Catch Cheryl’s act every Saturday night in Blayds Bar.
