Headspace: Trans People Reveal their Struggles
A short film to mark LGBT+ History Month has been released about the struggles Transexual people face in society.
The creator Jake Graf has produced the film and it features an all trans cast.
Speaking to the Huffington post, Jake said: "I think there is a popular misconception that once a trans person has medically transitioned, and settled into a ‘mainstream’ lifestyle, that all the struggles, challenges and discrimination simply fade away."
“I wanted to give a glimpse into some very personal and awkward experiences that I’m sure as trans folk we all go through, but that are to some degree universal, and that we all go through now and again."
The film was made in an effort to promote acceptance and understanding. From the video, there are basic tasks such as going to the gym, using toilet facilities and even making a phone call, all of these things we take for granted prove to be difficult.
